In 1944, VMF(N)-532 flew its first successful night intercept in its F4U fighters near the Marshalls.
In 1945, the 4th and 29th Marines launch an attack to destroy enemy forces concentrated around Mt. Yae Take on the Mobutu Peninsula.
The aircraft of MAG-24 begin their movement from Luzon to Mindinao in the Philippines. They arrive at Malabang on that island on 20 April.
In 1961, the 5th MEB (consisting of RLT9 and HMR(L)-162) conducts a SEATO exercise in Borneo that lasts through 4 May.
In 1962, President Kennedy watches Marines storm ashore at Onslow Beach, North Carolina, during LANTPHIBEX 1-62.
In 1965, BLT 3 / 4 arrives and relieves the company of 2 / 3 around the air base at Phu Bai.
In 1970, the 11th MEB depart Okinawa enroute to Yang Po Ri, Korea, to participate in Exercise Golden Dragon, a combined USMC/KMC amphibious exercise.
